Lauren Davenport (she/her) is a bisexual playwright living and working in the Philadelphia region. Her work has been produced and read in Philadelphia, Chicago, San Diego, Chestertown MD, West Chester PA, and Buffalo NY. Her plays include SANDCASTLES, WAKING DREAMS, PAY YOUR FERRYMAN, JANET’S A LADY, A WEIGHT OF WORLDS, TUMBLE, and VOTIVE, among others. She has worked with the PAC (Philadelphia Artists Collective), Beacon Theatre Productions, Project Transcend, Philadelphia DG Footlights, Philly Fringe Festival, Punching LaBute Vol. 1, Alleyway Theatre, and The Historic Apollo Civic Theatre. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild, LMDA, and currently works as Co-Manager of Audience Services with Philadelphia Theatre Company. She was a 2009-10 recipient for a Rose O’Neill Literary House Fellowship and a 2014 finalist for the Sue Winge Playwriting Award. She received her MA in Theatre from Villanova University and her BA in English Literature, Theatre, and Creative Writing from Washington College.
